Welcome to our Spanish Wells
The ideal vacation destination!
About our island
Endless summer, cool breezes and captivating views all play a part in making Spanish Wells the best place on earth. Many have come to our island over the centuries, the Spanish came to replenish their water supply before their long Atlantic crossings, Puritans came in search of religous freedom via nearby Eleuthera, and it is very likely that the Lucayans visited years prior. Today Spanish Wells is still sought out and visited by those in search of a unique port of call with a captivating and enchanting appeal. White powdery beaches, tropical breezes, laid back atmospheres and friendly people await your arrival.
How to find us
Spanish Wells is situated in the Bahamas just to the northern edge of Eleuthera. The settlement began at the eastern end of St. George's Cay and expanded by moving westward, a trend which continued by bridge-hopping to neighbouring Russell Island. You can get to Spanish Wells from international and local destinations by flying in to North Eleuthera Airport (ELH) and then taking a taxi to Jeans Bay Dock, where a short ferry ride will take you to Spanish Wells. Water transportation is also available between Nassau and Spanish Wells by various providers including Bahamas Ferries.
